Headquartered in Dortmund, Elmos is a developer and manufacturer of semiconductor based system solutions. Elmos products are used where innovations matter, solving the challenges of the future megatrends, such as sustainability, autonomous driving, electro mobility as well as more safety, connectivity and comfort.
Elmos develops, produces and markets semiconductors and sensors, mainly for use in the automotive industry. Our components communicate, measure, regulate and control safety, comfort, powertrain and network functions. For more than 30 years, Elmos innovations have been bringing new functions to life and making mobility safer, more comfortable and more energy-efficient worldwide.
Elmos maintains design and sales offices all over the world and guarantees fast customer support through local presence. The own production in Dortmund is expanded by contractual partners with Asian semiconductor foundries. By utilizing the advantages of in-house CMOS technology development, chip design and production, Elmos is always able to deliver the product best suited to the customer's needs - be it a chip tailored to the customer's specific requirements, a standard product ready for use in a short time, or a complete microsystem.
Elmos Semiconductor AG was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Dortmund, Germany.
As an IDM with own mixed-signal CMOS design, wafer fab, production test and quality lab for failure analysis and reliability test, Elmos will contribute with R&D&I in all work packages to develop solutions for reliability prediction, design for reliability, design for test and reliability analysis. Elmos will also be available as an industrial partner for verification and validation of the project results and could share non-confidential data to other partner for their targets. With high experience in the automotive industry, Elmos will also contribute to evaluate and specify application domain relevant specification and requirements.
Elmos will build a holistic big data infrastructure to use AI and ML to analyse and improve the reliability of semiconductors throughout the value chain.
This holistic approach will also be integrated into product design and manufacturing to enable “Design for Reliability” and “Design for Test” on point.
Research is flanked by investigations of new materials and demonstrated by means of three use cases.
