AMS’ headquarters are in Premstätten near Graz, Austria with a state-of-the art 200mm CMOS manufacturing line including optical interference filter and post-processing capabilities. Key research and development facilities are based at the headquarter in Austria covering technology R&D and IC design development departments together with 18 design centres worldwide.

As a worldwide leader in sensor solutions, AMS will provide its expertise and knowledge in sensor system development and integration specifically for automotive applications. AMS will target to develop enhanced reliability models and methods to ensure advanced VCSEL-based solutions. As part of this project we will join forces with external research partners such as the Technische Universität Graz (TU Graz), Material Center Leoben Forschung GmbH (MCL) and the Technische Universität Chemnitz (TU Chemnitz).
As part of the project, AMS will contribute in the development of reliability models based on Physics of Failure. In addition, AMS will develop electro-optical testing concepts that will enable improved reliability testing and failure prediction. Overall, AMS will lead one use case, three different tasks and will contribute in 20 other tasks in this project.
